Water Bees??

Who better to ask then Flora? I am in need of Water bees. I have spent hours flying over leagues and leagues of oceans but have been unable to find any. (Other then one but friend got them and died and hasnt been back on server since.) If you can give me tip I'd appreciate it. I am planing on tring night vision potion under water on my next journey.

If I were you I would just look for the lighting of a bee hive in the water.

You could also install optifine and enable clear water, that should help spotting them.

I usually find them near the coastline- not in the deepest water, but I've only ever seen a few scattered about.

You could change your texturepack, and make them bright pink

Follow rivers, I have an acceptable amount of luck finding them in there.

search at night as well. hives tend to glow making night searches easier

I have seen them spawn in ponds in marshes and swamps, try checking in that general area, maybe you'll get lucky.

Indeed, I find them in small lakes and ponds around, sometimes in plains and swamp biomes.

Thanks to all of you for your help. After changing my texture pack and installing optifine I was able to find a few quite easily. Emerald bees here I come!
