Void Pipe placement in Quarry rig?

I usually kept everything that my quarries mined, but now I'm drowning in cobble like everyone else. I've been using and abandoning barrels but want to void it.

Right now I'm doing a Relay on top of the quarry, pneumatic tubes over barrels to suck off the dirt/cobble/sand to the trio of chests - which is where it becomes... inelegant.

Right now, I've just switched to a wood chest with a filter that pulls cobble to another chest that pulls into the void pipe THEN the excess goes to the ender chest, which means I'm using another timer, and right now manually pulling the good stuff out.

Also, quartz sucks.

Just hook up the quarry to a diamond pipe and filter it to send all the unwanted stuff down a void pipe. Then the rest of the stuff would go in a chest where you can extract your items with a filter which would be connected to pneumatic tubes leading down to your sorting system.

I would tweak this by going with item tesseracts off the diamond pipe. This helps make the quarry far simpler to move and place, as well as connecting with other systems. One this you can do is have a second set of item tesseracts, with all the ores going to the second one. This then could send to a set of hoppers over your pulverizer/macerator/etc. without any need of the item to go through your sorting at all.

Derp. I've been so enamored with RP2's tubes, I've been ignoring the diamond pipe... I even have some in a chest already.

I do like the tesseracts, but I only have on set of item tessaracts.
