Summary of the problem Void Ore Miner Not Gathering Ore

What is the bug? Void Ore Miner Appears to be working (laser is coming out of the bottom), but produces no ore. I set up the miner with clear view to bottom of the world. Then placed chest next to controller, and powered it with a tier 2 solar array.
