I had to use a gmail.com email address to register my account here, as my normal address apparently doesn't work. I've run into this particular issue before: your mail sender cannot deal with domains that include a hyphen. (Hyphens do work in URLs and email addresses, but some sendmail clones balk at anything non-alphanumeric.) When I changed addresses the verify mail sent out nearly instantly.
Might wanna look into that.
