I'm currently running 1.0.1 and would like to update to the latest version.

Firstly is it worth doing the update?

And also I don't want to mess up my current world, will I still be able to play my map without any issues? How do I go about updating Beyond without causing any problems?

I'm sorry if this is a silly question :)

Thank you

I am unaware of any major world breaking while updating Beyond. As with all updates, mod adds/drops, or really just good practice, backup your world before you do anything. Worst case scenario, you reload that and continue what you have in the version that worked. Best case scenario, you update smoothly and get to enjoy any new content and bug fixes (possibly mod adds as well) that have come along since you started.

When you load your world post-update, it should warn you of any missing blocks. Take a stroll around your world and make sure everything is on the level. Just in case, keep that backup tucked away safely, and know that you have a safety net in case anything goes sideways.

No problems on my system, even if it removed a few blocks from a couple mods. Should be fine. Otherwise I've been playing on my 1.0.1 world and it still works fine in 1.8.1.

Thank you very much for the replies, so all I have to do is download the latest Beyond version and move the world folder in it?

Yup. If you're on Curse, you can either update the install or update to a new folder. FTB will just straight update.
