Unused port?

Details of the issue Whenever I try to start my server, it says that it can't bind to the port because it's already in use. How do I find an unused port?

Ok so i port forwarded again and now it doesn't give me that error, but I can't join my server. I put in localhost:25565 as the adress, but I can't connect.




Also as a side note, if you guys want logs, can you tell me where to find them because I only seem to find the old one. Thx!

The first time you tried you probably had another server running, or a server crashed and blocked the port. If you're unsure how to fix thta, a restart of your computer will fix that.

server.properties - did you add a ip-address there? (if yes, remove that so it only says "server-ip=" on that line - without the "")

Location of log:
/logs/fml-server-latest.log
