Details of the issue:

I unlocked Resourceful Skies so I could add JEI, but afterwards it crashed every time I tried to open it, including after I disabled and then uninstalled JEI. I uninstalled and reinstalled the pack and spent some time trying to work out why it was crashing, and it only started happening again after I unlocked the pack (without adding any other mods). It continued happening after I locked the pack again. I was able to recreate the issue with New Beginning by unlocking it but making no other changes.​

Did you update forge?

I didn't change the Forge version when I unlocked, no. Should I have? I assumed making changes to packs on 1.10 would be basically the same as on 1.7.

EDIT: Okay, I see what you mean. I uninstalled and reinstalled again and it turns out that the pack originally installed with Forge version 12.18.0.2010, but post-unlocking it changed to the most recent version, 1.2046. I'll try unlocking and manually changing the forge version back.
