I do not know why but when I am playing the FTB Unleashed modpack, I have to wait 20 minutes for it to load then i have constant lag in-game. I have graphics set to medium, although my computer is a pretty high end computer so I do not understand why it is so laggy. I assume it is due to TC being in this modpack.
 
You could try disabling TC (Thaumcraft?) in the launcher and see if it is at the root of your woes. Have you got optifine installed? Are you running a texture pack w/o optifine? SSP or SMP? Have any other launchers / modpacks worked in the past much better? Are you launching with a bat file to give more memory to java? What FPS are you getting? Is there no lag if you reduce all settings to fastest / no anims etc?
 
Well, to start, we need some information.
Which modpack/version-Some versions of the modpacks are very unstable and can cause more lag than others.
Operating system/bit type
Java version/bit type
Added JVM arugments
Amount of RAM allocated
Other processes running during play
In game machines/chunk loaders/etc.
