I'm slowly teaching myself how to work with a VPS that I am renting for Unleashed. I have finally fiqured out how to get McMyAdmin to start up the Unleashed 1.1.4 Mod pack, with Biomes o' Plenty enabled. The only probem is... it crashes during the startup. I renamed the unleashed.jar to FTB-Beta-A.jar and ForgeMod.jar so that McMyAdmin will recognize it. I encountered this startup crash both times: http://pastebin.com/vk7BJF7s

As a side note, I was able to start the game server using Putty and the ServerStart.sh. I was able to connect and play. With that method I could not close putty without the game server closing, and I do not know how to setup server restarts and backups outside of McMyAdmin.

Any insight into the error will be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Starting it using Putty+.sh produces the same error now.

Take a look here regarding your issue: http://www.computercraft.info/forum...ripheral/page__st__620__p__138837#entry138837

It's a problem with Open Peripherals and Mikeemoo doesn't appears to have plans on fixing it.

It's looking unlikely I'll be fixing that due to it causing such a tiny tiny tiny percentage of people an issue (I've had that bug reported around 4 times over ~1.7 million installs). The bit that's calling that is a real core part and not easily fixed, and I can't get to the bottom of what's causing it. All I can recommend for the time being is removing the mod.

It's not relevant in 1.6.2 versions

Also, if your starting the server via SSH. Start it on a different screen.

Take a look over here for that: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/johnleys-fast-and-easy-server-setup-guide.1290/

Thanks for the info Cozza.

I not sure what triggered the error to appear, but I've managed to fix it. I re-installed the virtual server, and removed/backed-up all the default minecraft files before I put the 1.1.4 zip where they used to be located. After I renamed the ftbserver.jar to FTB-Beta-A.jar, McMyAdmin was able to start the server on the FTB server setting, and I could connect.

When the error appeared, I had the orginal minecraft server jar in the same folder. No idea if that was the cause, but it works now.

So, for now, all the server problems I had are solved.
