Problem Unable to Update Native Launcher

relatively new to running FTB
Played a few times past month worked fine
today: on attempt to start direwolf20 1.16 the "Unable to Update Native Launcher" pops up
Testing on vanila and curseforge launchers seems to still bring up the minecraft game, however FTB does not.
What should I reinstall/change?
And will I need to back up any single player worlds before so.

been getting the same thing, i tried reinstalling minecraft and reinstalling direwolf didnt work either as i came up with the error message again.

Update: I've taken the same steps as Tongers as well as clearing the FTB cache. Still to no avail

I ran into this same issue and after trying everything mentioned here I restarted my computer. Works fine now.
