Hello, as the title states I can't get magnet mode from NEI to work on my multiplayer server for Sky Factory 2.5. My issue isn't with getting magnet mode to work in a singleplayer work, I was able to easily make that work. However, yesterday when I opened a server so I could play Sky Factory 2.5 with a friend, the same steps that I took to make manget mode in single player didn't work on the server.

Normally I just go to the settings for NEI under inventory, switch to world settings, and make sure that magnet mode can be activated through utility mode, then I go back and click on the magnet back where it shows your inventory. On this multiplayer server, the magnet in the upper left corner of the inventory screen doesn't show up.

The server hosting server I'm using is a 12 slot server through Sticky Piston. I checked the mod settings for NEI through my account there and checked the textfile for NEI's main settings, and everything appeared to be in order there. Has anyone had any similar issues with getting magnet mode to work on a server? I've looked through every youtube tutorial for NEI that I could find, and every google thread I could find that had relevant information.

NEI has two sets of settings: per-client and per-world. You may need to log into the server and mess with the world settings there.
NEI may also have some settings stored somewhere within the world save folder somewhere, in addition to those within the config folder. I don't know offhand where to look for things like that.

Failing that, you could rely on one of the many mod-added item magnets that post likely exist in your pack. Botania has a Ring of Magnetization, Magic Bees has a Mysterious Magnet, EnderIO has some kind of Electromagnet, and there's probably a few more that I don't know of off the top of my head.

You explained it way better than I was about to.

I think one of the Draconic Evolution items might also have a magnet function, but don't quote me on it.

Are you an OP? The NEI magnet is considered a cheat command.
May need to find your server console and type OP your ign name or try it ib game with /op your ign name.
