  • What OS are you running?
-Windows 8
  • Are you using minecraft hosting provider or a dedicated/local server not designed for minecraft?
- Using a desktop, see below for details.
  • What version of FTB are you using? (Dont just say latest tell us the version)
- Using v. 1.01 of FTB Ultimate
  • Did you add any mods to the server pack?
- Some people on the server are using Optifine and we have modified a few Gregtech configs.
  • What are your server specs?
- The computer is my brothers so I'm not sure on exactly which model numbers, but I know he' running an ivy bridge (I think 3570k)
- 8 GB of ram (4 dedicated to server)
  • A good detailed paragraph about the problem
Today our server crashed and, upon reboot, crashes on launch. The error seems to reference our chunk loader in our mining mystcraft age, but I am unable to use the normal methods I would use to fix it. First I tried opening the world file in SSP, which has worked before, but it also crashed on load. Next I tried to load the world in MC-Edit to delete the block, but MC Edit doesn't seem to handle mystcraft ages as the world wasn't anything similar (most chunks were empty and those that were populated were random).

Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas on how to resolve this? I've posted the server log, crash report, and the console output.

  • Things I've tried so far.
- Single-player and MC-Edit to remove the chunk-loader as described above.
- Deleting the Mystcraft world folders.
- removing and replacing the mystcraft mod (an attempt to delete any troublesome block)
- manually downloading mystcraft.

None of these solutions produced a result. Removing mystcraft allowed the server to load, but crashed as soon as mystcraft was replaced. When I manually downloaded mystcraft, I tried both 10.0 and 10.1. When I used v. 10.1 I did not get the error but I did get another set of errors which can be found here.

UPDATE: I've traced the problem to the agedata_3.dat file (found in \Ultimate_Server\[your world name here]\data) , or at least the problem doesn't appear if this file doesn't exist. Not sure yet if the file itself is corrupt or if its just preventing mystcraft from loading the age which prevents the error. I'd guess its the latter. This should patch the problem if anyone else experiences this, but you lose the age.

UPDATE 2: The .dat file is empty when opened wit NBT explorer. That maybe the source of the problem?

I'll post back here if I come up with more information or a better solution, but for now I'll mark it solved.
