turtle issue?

I've got combat turtles fighting a soul shard blaze spawner model and brain in a jar to collect exp.

This was previously working and in the newest update isn't.

Is this a server setting turned off or mindcrack update issue? (the issue is blaze specific)

If its server based where should I look in the config?

Can you explain in detail what is going wrong? Just saying the issue is blaze specific doesn't really help.

the turtles are not causing exp to drop from blazes, however they are getting exp to drop from everything else.
