Hello everybody,

first I want to apologize if this post is in the wrong section.

Now my question,
On the FTB server I play on we made a treefarm, it should be fully automated but it isnt. The setup is quite simpel, Boiler provides steam for steam engine that fills a redstone energy cell. The cell powers harvester, planter and X amount of furnaces. Now my problem is that the harvester doesnt collect any saplings ( oak and rubber) so the planter cant plant new ones. We are using gold transport pipes to transport everything. 50% of the wood to the furnaces 50% to barrels. All saplings are split with a diamond pipe so the go back to the harvester but yhea there arent any.

Hope that somebody is able to help me with this and explain why this isnt working, as far as I know it should.

Things we already tried:

turn off/on sheering leaves
destroying the planter/harvester and put it down again.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, is the setup configured to pipe saplings back into the harvester? They should be going to the planter.

If I understand no sappling go OUT of the harvester, they all fall ?? If so try non forestry tree, it do the same with steve's cart.

Else you can try obsidian pipe powered with MJ ( redstone energy cell ) or if Open Block is installed ( I don't know 1.5 mods list because I play 1.6 ) there is a "Vacum Hopper" I think... I'm not sure of the spelling and not sure when it was added. Both will suck item from 6/7 block I think...

And last solution: Thaumcraft Golem ! Make the golem take care of drop and with EnderChest and translocator get them the way you want.

Does the harvester not cut down the leaves? If so then I think you have a problem with saplings, but there shouldn't be one. Are your pipes configured correctly because this could also be a problem. To try and improve it you could just use an insertion pipe into the side of the harvester.
