I like treecapitator. I think that the "op-ness" of it is outweighed by the "oh good now trees don't magically float in the air"
But this is not a thread to whine and complain. If treecapitator is indeed out of an official FTB release, that's cool, I'll just add it myself. No big deal.
I've got a solution though, that would keep it in, and not be op. Keep in mind that I'm not a modder. I'm a boiler maker by trade and have zero experience in programming.
Solution: make the trees take longer to cut. Lets say that a tree block takes 1sec to break with your current axe/saw/whatever. The tree consists of 20 blocks and is 10 blocks high. The tree should take 30secs to treecapitate. And, best of all, make this a secondary function of the axe/saw/whatever. So if you just want to take a slice out of a tree you can. Everyone wins!
