Bug Tinker's Construct

First, before I type anything, im not sure if this is a bug or it's something that's supposed to happen.
So, i made a manyullyn pickaxe, i added a LOT of modifiers. I started mining, and to my surprise the pickaxe nearly broke after veinmining a few ores. As seen in this screenshot http://imgur.com/okCwd1T , it says there's 100 durability hovering over the item. but on the right it says it has over 5000. Is the 100 supposed to be there, or is there supposed to be 5250? Also, how does auto repair work?

I believe the ~5000 is your actual durability, with the 100 being aa displayed percentage of the durability left.
Autorepair repairs the pickaxe's durability over time (unless the pick is completely broken, as in showing the "broken" tooltip) with higher levels repairing faster and the process is accelerated in sunlight.

i got it figured out... i forgot to put reinforced on it. thanks anyways
