Hey, so I just started getting into this mod earlier; is there a way to know how many ingots you need to build a certain part? like if i'm making a large plate and I put x number of ingots and I can't get the result item, I'm assuming I'm not putting enough ingots, so is there a way to know how many I need? Again I'm new to this mod so I apologize if it's a stupid question

if I remember correctly the cast should say how much ingots it needs to create that part when hovering over them
also make sure you're using the casts made from aluminium brass and not the stencils when crafting metal parts from the smeltery

It's written on cast/stencils
It's either 1/2,1,3 or 8

Step by Step

Make pattern
Use part builder to make a stone part
Put stone part on casting table
Pour 1 ingot aluminium-brass or gold
Wait for it to cool giving you the cast
Remove cast and part
Chuck stone part in a big hole
Cast will show you resource cost to make a metal part(8 for plate)
Put cast back on casting table and pour metal

Job done
