Third party launcher - credential security?

If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue Hi! Just a formality before I pick up FTB: I'd like to know how the launcher handles my login credentials.

Especially if they're saved / transmitted via plain text rather than encrypted. Mojang explicitly instructs not to use MC credentials in anything that's not official.

I couldn't find anything on that. If it's down to trusting the devs, that's a risk I can assess, but unsafe credential handling isn't - because once out there, it's out there. And Mojang probably won't care as even using 3rd party launchers is not just unsupported, but discouraged.
