There a simple modpack with "old"er style mods?

Having a bit of nostalgia for a few years back in the mindcrack 1.4.7 days. Started a server with a few buddies on monster (because it had most of the mods in the mindcrack pack but updated, didn't last long anyway like a week) but it isn't the same as 20 friends playing on an unrestricted old fashioned server on someone's extra PC. (I hate the claiming land stuff and rules, much better when you had to worry about the owner getting mad at you for your 12 chunk loaders) Monster also gets boring despite having 10x the mods as the old mindcrack pack.

I'd like to get into Minecraft for a little as I've had fun with ftb in the past, but I don't want to just play the old mindcrack pack as I doubt many would play on it or at least for long. Does this exist or do I build a time machine?

What, exactly, do you like about the old 1.4.7 packs that you want reproduced? Because I might be able to help.

As far as a 'time machine', that's possible as well. Just use the FTB Classic Launcher, and search for 1.4.7 packs. Done.

You can actually find the 1.4.7 packs on Twitch, though the Classic Launcher is more reliable.

This is the pack I've been playing, there's no work done to balance out the ores, because I enjoy the search, but other than that it's pretty fun. I wanted a pack that felt a lot like FTB Ultimate while also having some new mods. Just import it as a new pack.
