The colour changing ended chest

On the top of the ended chest you are able to change the colours to what ever order you wish

However, I've seen some people change the front hatch (golden rectangle) to blue, but I'm unsure on how to do this

To elaborate a bit. The purpose of clicking the chest with a diamond(and "colouring" the latch blue) is to make the chest use your private colour channels. This way noone else can steal your stuff by making a similar chest using the same colour combination and taking things out.
