Hello fellow FTB-ers,

I have recently started a new world in the DW20 pack and I am facing a problem. I am not encountering a lot of TC3 shards. Dont get me wrong I am not complaining that I cant find them I was just wondering if I amjust unlucky with the seed or if anyone else also has a hard time finding shards??

The TC3 shards are much more common depending where you are. Water shards are more common in ocean. Fire shards are more common in deserts. Earth shards are more common in mountains. Air shards.... i dunno. As for not finding them, Direwolf may have changed the config for how often they gen, if there is such an option. My guess is that you are just unlucky.

Mmm to bad. But Im happy I'm just unlucky and its not a bug

You're not supposed to be finding many. For example, picture a ravine - there might be a dozen clusters of iron in the walls of it, all in all. But you'll rarely find more than one or two crystal veins in the same area.

Plus, keep in mind that Aura is a finite resource, and crystal ores are the "batteries" of the land. Each one you mine won't be able to replenish your Aura if you drain all of it (it's not an easy feat due to recharging among nodes, but that too will eventually drain up). So don't aim to stockpile crystals for the heck of it... take only what you need.

Thank you for the tip! Im just starting with the TC3 stuff (I just researched want of eq. exchange and first golemancy) but I just noticed a lack of shards. I was just wondering if it was designed or faulty, i never even imagined it was aura relevant, I think I really have to check the wiki then and stop trial and error on TC3 XD

Create a mystcraft world and quarry out a 64x64 area. You'll get enough to last a good while and it won't hurt anything.

You can get a lot of this knowledge directly from reading the Thaumonomicon, by the way
