[Thaum4]Blown up by an Aer Node

Playing FTB resurrection, going node hunting, everything was peaceful, then all of a sudden an Aer(Yellow) node appeared right behind my character and he was somehow sucked to it and began whirling, then eventually got thrown up into the clouds(literally).
Now I'm using it as a launcher to help me gliding over the mountains, and I'm wondering how this kind of node come to being. Could it be created by some means? Would it recede to a normal node after a while?
Ideas please?

That's a hungry node. It spawns very rarely, but when it does, it wreaks havoc both among players and surrounding terrain
