So I had to give up my last server as it crapped itself and was unrecoverable.

I am now running a direwolf server and changed the start.bat to say

"java -Xms2G -Xmx4G -jar ftbserver.jar"

But when I start the server it shows

"Memory usage:mb (67% free)

So its not using the ram Ive allocated... how do I make that work to reduce server lag... Ive ot 16 gb of ram and nothing else running so I shouldn't have these lag issues. Any tips?

Which modpack are you using?
Also, use 2048 and 4096 instead of 2 and 4
Try using Direwolf20.jar or Direwolf20_server.jar (I don't remember which it is)
