So I am building a new base with all of the supplies I built up. My goal is to build various buildings for different tasks, like a town, but more like a rich villa. So I started with my nexus building and it is to house my CC monitor and a mystcraft portal. I like where the style took me, but it is missing something. Not to mention, I hate the road.

Thanks for any suggestions...

I sort of think of something gold or brass to go with the white and black. Not sure why.

And for the road/paths in forested/park areas I still prefer Mossy cobble. Maybe with a border of something(Just a microblock cover strip of some other material as a border often looks nice.

Ya, I was thinking about going back to at least stone brick or run the stone brick through a pulverizer to make it cracked. I thought about using a colored stone for the roof instead of the white stone. Maybe the right answer is glow stone microblocks for some trim?

Unless you are planning on putting something bulky in the middle of that floor I recommend a nice water feature, perhaps with a microblock border made of dark material. Other than that it looks really nice. It might just be something to do with your texture pack but I think it would help if the glass you used had streaks (like some of the chisel glasses or Extra utilities glasses. I actually really like the road.

The setting is nice, are you going to try and preserve the trees (I think that would be cool)
