Version: Ultimate 1.1.2

Two times now I've had a small structure I built in the Nether disappear. It was a small cobble hut floating over a lava lake with a BC3 pump, energy tesseract, world anchor and an ender tank. Twice I noticed that the lava flow had stopped, and when I went to investigate, this is all that was left:

Any ideas what could be going on?

How odd. Is there a chunk boundary where it's cut off? Not sure what you'd do with that info, but it might give you some idea of the nature of the problem (whether you should suspect explosions or something like that, or your chunk getting obliterated). If you're using an energy tesseract to power the pump, I guess engine explosions aren't a possibility.

I can't really see how explosions could occur, and if they did, how could it lead to that kind of damage?

I just checked and it is indeed on a chunk boundary. Do anyone know of any bugs with the items I used? The ceiling looks fine, so is it possible the chunk is reset to original conditions?

It's possible, if the chunk had reset, then there'd be no flowing blocks as lava source blocks would reappear.

What engines are you using?

Are you using golden conductive pipes?

Yeah, explosions make no sense, but what you're seeing doesn't either :)

Haven't heard of or encountered any chunk reset bugs with any of those items, though I've never used an ender tank myself. If it were me, I'd try to isolate it to a single item (replace your ender tank with a liquid tesseract and see if it still happens; if so, replace your energy tesseract with an engine or two, etc.), then submit a bug report to the appropriate mod author (after checking their changelog to make sure it isn't already fixed). Stuff like this is valuable to know.

But as you can see, the lava flowing blocks are under the fine part.

@Danny does that also happen in the Mindcrack pack or just the Ultimate?

It definitely can happen on Ultimate (or at least it did)...but I can't say if this bug has been demonstrated in the Mindcrack pack. Sorry. Safer to use Liquid Tesseracts maybe.

No pipes, just the tesseract right next to the pump.

The endertank chunk reset sounds very probable, considering how few items I was using. Damn, that's scary, I have endertanks all over my base!

There's flowing lava in both, you can tell by the bloody fact that the lava under what would be the structure is level.
I am getting very annoyed.

Look carefully.
Ravnen, can you tell us if there is any flowing lava in the chunk reset area?
Or is all the flowing lava past what's left of the building?
Post some pictures if you can.

That looks like a chunk reset. Also, can't be an explosion for 2 reasons, 1. Ghasts can't break cobblestone, 2. It would be more messy if it exploded.

Yeah. I realized after that, that the circles in the lava could've been done by a different pump later. And it's cut off so cleanly that it had to be that.

It's just not that easy to get all the ender pearls for tesseracts, and I like my endertank visible in my base :(
