just because of a little boredom and to help get my mind out of an unfortunate IRL event I felt like posting a little about my recent work here...
in a nutshell; its a fluid mesh system that uses your GPU to run 100% real-time while being both detailed and lightweight and not using any particles. I started developing it for a game prototype as part of the game development course I'm doing currently, very early alpha stage in that sense, but unknown when or whether my team will get back to this prototype and make an actual game out of it, we intend to, but only time will truly tell.
so essentially you can watch the embedded video below, tell me what you think, any ideas that you may come up with, anything really, and don't be hesitant to criticize either, you may just point out a major issue that none of us have noticed yet.
as a side note; I have been considering trying to add this in a minecraft mod in some way, however due to complexities regarding java and openCL, audience's range of hardware and minecraft's generally horrid render architecture I have no idea whether I could pull it off effectively, at least not without killing myself in the process...
