Soul Shard Spawner and Villager Zombie

I'm trying to repopulate a village by curing a villager zombie. I created a zombie spawner with a soul shard. When a regular zombie spawns it has a 10% chance of being a villager zombie. Does the same rule apply if they spawn from a soul shard spawner? I have gone through about 30 zombies and not had a single villager zombie.

nope, soul shards only spawn that specific type of mob that the shard is for.
