im having problems setting up a simple sorting system i have a bunch of sorting/mod sorting pipes going into chests and a few barrels for larger items the problem is i have a chest at the end of the pipes for any items that cannot be sorted but im getting items that can be sorted ending up in this chest any way to fix this ?

seems random had ingots/diamonds end up in there even though there is a closer chest with the item in after redesigning the pipe network its happening alot less but every once and a while its happeningWhat items are ending up in your non-sorting chest, and where do you expect them to go?
yes i have atleast 1 of the items in chests with sorting pipes and only mod items in mod sorting pipe chest i think i may have fixed it now by making sure there are no intersections on the pipe network seems thay may act like stone pipes from BCThe sorting pipes only put items into chests if there already is at least 1 of that item in the chest. I don't know if mod sorting pipes work with vanilla items. Have you checked on all of this?
Having built this sorting system multiple times myself, the only reason I know of that causes this is an extra intersection. I would recheck every length of the pipe system and wrench any extra connections so that they only go the way you want or rearrange the system so the problem goes away. I know that you said that you already checked, but that is the only solution. from what i seen thay seem to choose a direction to look and if theres a valid inventory now there is no intersections its all working fineHmm if I remember correctly they don't work like BC pipes but actually search the system for the closest available spot. So any intersection that shortens the travel to a valid spot will effect the place an item goes.
