I cannot get the ore to go to the purple tube which leads the macerator/smelter thing I have there. The video shows the problem, Please help. Am I just being dumb and missing something or is there a bug?

Put a restriction tube between the purple and that inventory they went into or put a color on the none color pipe going into that inventory. Non-color is a valid color for any colored item, so if a valid inventory is closer through a non-colored pipe it will go choose non-colored
