Sorting Machine Issues

I have a sorting machine set up that acts strange from time to time. If it just got stuck and I had to fix something, it wouldn't surprise me, but here's the thing: the whole thing gets jammed time to time, but once I place a chest next to the pipes and instantly remove it before any items go in, the whole thing works again for a while before jamming again. Any fixes/files you guys want uploaded to see this?

Do you have any items in there, which don't have a valid destination?
Add your chest not directly, but behind a restriction tube and watch, if it fills. Then you'll have your culprit.
