Some "/" commands not recognised

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Some "/" commands not recognised

Launcher Type FTB Launcher

Modpack Direwolf20 1.10

Modpack version Latest stable

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file

Details of the issue Some / commands are not recognised, eg., /set and /doDaylightCycle. They were working before (using this modpack). Noticed today when I read in the wiki that Ender lilies would no longer grow past period 1 if doDaylightCycle was true - I had set it to true a while back (for permanent day).

Yesterday I saw in the Curse startup window a download icon, so I installed the latest beta version of the modpack, but that hung all the time, so I went back to the last stable version. I then received a message listing a screen full of blocks that evidently weren't there, but I continued anyway. All seemed OK except for my bed being missing and some of my wooden chests, including the one with my Ender pearls (I haven't noticed anything else missing yet). That prompted me to have a look at my end stone garden - that's when I saw the Ender lilies were stuck in stage 1, and read the wiki article about the doDaynightCycle affecting ender lily growth, and found that I now cannot execute "/set doDaynightCycle true" - or even use the "/set" command for anything.

Really grateful for any help, please.

[Using a win10 desktop PC. Not played modded MC before this. ]

Hmm.. I was trying to correct an error in my post but when I tried to save the edited version, I got this:

Your doing it wrong.

set - i'm guessing you're after
/time set

doDaylightCycle is a subcommand to gamerule, so:
/gamerule doDaylightCycle true
/gamerule doDaylightCycle false

Thanks for that. Grandrolf, you are, of course, exactly correct. When I used the commands as you stated, they worked perfectly.

I am also having other problems, though, which make me wonder if I need to re-install. As those problems are not directly related to this post, I've created a new post here: https://goo.gl/EvCYyr .
