Problem SMP GraviChestPlate doesn't Work

Hi, got a bit of an issue.

GraviChestPlate refuses to fly in SMP. We can enter gravity mode just fine, using G key. However, once we are in gravity mode, double tapping spacebar to fly does nothing. It works fine in SSP. Jetpacks work fine.

MindCrack v8.0.1

Am i missing something obvious here, or is it bugged? Thanks for the help.
