I see lots of discussion of hosted / large server recommendations but I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum... I'm looking to run a server in house for 2 people. Network obviously isn't an issue (wired, 100MB) but I have no idea what the server specs should look like.
I'd probably want to run an FTB instance and a vanilla instance together so we could switch between the two. Open to suggestions of Windows or Linux for the OS (I'm guessing Linux would require less powerful hardware?).
Ideally, this would be in a low enough power package that I could run it fanless but I've no idea if that's practical. Recommendations?
