Skyfactory 3 unexpected crash

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Skyfactory 3 unexpected crash

Launcher Type Twitch Desktop App

Modpack Skyfactory 3

Modpack version forge 12.18.3.2477

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file http://paste.ubuntu.com/25947598/

Details of the issue I've recently downloaded sky factory 3 via the twitch desktop app. I click to play, it opens the launcher, I click to play and it prepares, but almost immediately brings up an error screen stating 'An unexpected issue has occurred and the game has crashed. Sorry for the inconvenience'.

PC has a NVIDIA GeForce 1080 graphics card, which I downloaded and installed the 388.13, 64-bit windows 10 driver update to no avail, updated Java and allowed both twitch and Minecraft access through my security firewall, repair the modpack numerous times, still nothing.

I've done everything I can think of with my limited experience with PCs, can anyone shed some light on the situation and give me a hand??

I've also tried deleting and reinstalling skyfactory, trying the beta version, the same message comes up

McAfee, but I've actually managed to sort it out on my own. Made a mistake when selecting the Minecraft install location, changed it on the off chance that it might work and it did, so it works fine now, thanks anyway :)

That's known to cause issues with Minecraft - so if you still have issues, try and add exception for java and the gamefolder (and if that doesn't work you'll need to replace that for any other AV software).

Hoping that you've sorted it out - and wish you happy gaming! :)
