hello there, im new to starting a sever and want to play with a friend, but i have no idea how to start it up...

In the simplest way possible, how can i do this?

I tried a little bit and when i went on the 'multiplayer' option in-game it said
'Cannot connect to sever'
(I put in my pc ip address)
