Hey guys I've been working on a mod to add a few recipes to minecraft. These just make some items that were previously unobtainable obtainable. Most notable the chain mail armor. And for you builders, the different stone bricks and mossy cobblestone. It also makes it possible to use sandstone to store sand, clay can go from block to item and back, and same for glowstone. This helps for mod packs like this as it helps reduce that huge amount of resources that pile up in your chest. Its very light, and won't hurt your save file. Simply add it in and its that easy. Makes the game a little more interesting. So tell me what you guys think, again its a simple mod to add those items in.

It's a nice concept, but given that all of the packs in FTB already have ways to do those things it doesn't seem like it's exploring new ground.

That is a very good point. I agree the pack adds loads of options but the main thing I made this for was the chain mail. I haven't seen a way to make it in the pack but I could always have missed it. This just makes it easier. I do see your point though, it was written with vanilla in mind but I though I'd share it here just in case somebody was interested.

Oh, chain mail is obtainable in vanilla already, though it's admittedly much harder than your method. Blacksmith villagers can trade it, and it can drop from skeletons or zombies that have it equipped.

Didn't know that. Learn something new everyday. I still think my way makes more sense. Why have an armor in the game and make it next to impossible to get? I understand its history but still. I like chain mail.

for example, there is a way to get different types of stone via redpower 2 (and a way for the whool to string)
the netherrack to netherbrick is in some way (in snapshots) existing in vanilla minecraft
