Hello, everyone on the forums I was just wondering...what kind of fuel should I use in my boilers on the FTB Ultimate server I am on?
And If I use Liquid Fuel...what kind should I use?
Same with the Solid Fuel.
And what method should I use to get each kind?

On ultimate bioreactors are simply broken in terms of biofuel generation if you want something easy. They make one bucket every 5 seconds. To put that into perspective it's 720 buckets an hour or 20 fully heated 36 HP boilers and one fully heated 18 HP boiler. If you feed it 9 types of saplings, seeds, or dyes it will produce 1440 mB of biofuel per 1 of each of the 9 items consumed.

So you're saying I should use liquid? I just need it to be able to power 1 matter fabricator constantly.
Also, do you mean 36, as in a 36 multi-block HP Boiler structure? Or what do u mean by that?
Also I need the matter fab to produce UU very fast.

Yes liquid. Yes 36 boiler blocks + 9 liquid fireboxes in a 3x3x4 structure with fireboxes on bottom. You can then push the steam in to a steam consumer in to a power bridge and in to a EV EU producer then step down the EV to HV with an HV transformer. Then plug it to the massfab.

O ok thank you very much. But don't close the thread please because I want other people's feedback as well
Also what type of liquid fuel should I use?

You can use an oak wood farm to power a solid fueled boiler use the saplings and apples for a bio-reactor also fed by a ranched squid. This should power a very large amount of boilers

Ok thank you, I will gladly try all of your guys' ideas!

If you are intense, you can build 50 (technically 48.something) coke ovens, run one 36HP boiler off the creosote oil, and 2 others off all the charcoal produced as well as powering a few more off the saplings and apples as already suggested. There are quite a few fuels that can be used for the boiler.

I also use a Steve Carts tree farm. For automation you want to input your fuel always into the bottom blocks and take the steam from anywhere on the boilers on the top, don't forget to use 9 solid fireboxes for solid fuel or 9 liquid fireboxes for liquid and you can't mix them up.

its a bit complicated, and requires renewable sources of blaze rods, coal, gunpowder and lava, but you can make a lava crystal factory. those burn a LONG time in a solid fuel boiler at max heat, long enough that you can run a lot of boilers if you can produce enough crystals. search forums for lava crystal reactor, i had it up to 40 boilers at one point spinning 2 steam turbines each producing about 16k eu/t.

My suggestion in all of this is ethanol. Get a scoop, make some bee houses, breed a basic apple oak to have better stats and use that to get OP power, with a little time investment. Omnicron has a good tree breeding guide and searching for something like 'the ultimate forestry tree' should give you some starter ideas.
