Read: I know there are already a number of threads about this topic. I've read through all the ones I could find, and none of the suggestions there worked.

I'm trying to install Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders into the Ultimate pack but nothing I do makes them work. I tried for five hours following all of the suggestions I could find on the internet. I followed all of the tutorials I could find to a T. Nothing works.

I tried copying the glsl files into the optifine zip. I have the 1.4.7 glsl version, and I did this with multiple version of Optifine ultra 1.4.6 (D5, D3, C3, B3). I put Optifine into the InstaMods folder, enabled it, and placed multiple versions of SEUS into the Shaderpacks folder, none of which worked when I selected them. I also tried putting in Sildur's shaders, and that didn't work, either. I also tried putting the glsl zip into the InstaMods folder, which unsurprisingly didn't work either. Also, I tried putting the glsl files into minecraft, jar, which crashed Ultimate. Installing it into all versions of Optifine other than D3 caused Ultimate to freeze at a black screen or crash. Using D3 didn't crash or freeze ultimate but upon selecting the shaders in the options menu, there was no affect.

For some reason unknown to me, there was no error message in the console when using D3 and having the selected shaders not work. I do have the latest version of the FTB launcher, and my graphics card drivers are all up to date. FTB is allocated 5.5 gigs of ram. The only additional mod I've added to the pack is Single Player Commands.

Just for the record, I do have a legitimate Minecraft account, so that's not the problem.

System specs:
OS: Windows 8 64 bit, x64 based processor
Processor: AMD FX(tm) 6300 six core processor
Running Java 6 x64
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 700

Internet high five to anyone who can help.
