Greetings,
I am relatively new to hosting, and I have set up a simple port forwarded server for a small group of my friends.
- I'm running windows 10
- I'm using the server files from the FTB launcher
- I'm using FTB 1.7.10 (I believe)
- I'm using the SkyFactory 2.5 pack, and I added the Veinminer mod
- I'm not sure what you mean by "server specs" but could produce them if necessary.
My issue is that, due to the small number of players (between 2-5), there are frequent times where I am not home and I want to have the server up and running for them to access, but I will return to find the server has timed out.
My question is: Is there a server setting that I can edit or implement that will increase the server's uptime without direct interaction with it?
For example, is there some way I could run the server, then leave to go to work for 8 hours, then sometime during those hours my friends would get on and have a stable and functioning server?
The answer may be obvious, I do not pretend to be very knowledgeable in this matter.
