Server "helper" software?

I was wondering if anyone can recommend serverside software for backups, restarts and restarting if the server crashes etc. If it matters, I am running the RPG Immersion Pack on a windows 2008r2 server. I would prefer specific software instead of using batchfiles, taskmanager or windows based scripts.

McMyAdmin works but i prefer MultiCraft. It allows for remote access of the server files using FTP. However, McMyAdmin is more easy to set up.

Yeah I did have a look at multicraft but couldn't get anywhere with it. And hmm, ftp, I'd prefer something a little more secure these days!
