hey guys, after weeks of looking for the right hardware for my server i'm now at the point, that i'm confused and not quite sure what to buy.
the situation: i want to host a server for me and my friends. i don't want to rent one online.
we are max 16 players and we want to play the ultimate reloaded modpack. my internet connections is fine too. we want a tps of 20 so far its possible. the server will run 12 hours a day. not 24/7.
i have read a lot but the most postings are nearly 7 years old. maybe you guys can help me to configurate a server for playing ftb. i dont want to spend a lot of money so i will buy the parts on ebay (germany).
what can you say about the following cpu's:
i3-9100F, i3-9350KF
i5-4690k, i5-4770k
i7-4770, i7-4790k
Xeon E3-1230V2, Xeon E3-1231V3, Xeon E3-1275V2
i tought about 16gb of ram. a ssd is already buyed. but which ram do i have to buy? and which mainboard is good? and how much power do i need?
