Hi everyone, first time posting so be gentle!

I'm looking at setting up a private server for some friends to play on. I've got FTB Ultimate up and running and clients can connect and play without problems.

My question is about adding extra mods. Most of the mods I'd like to add conflict with the current mods in some way (mostly with Redpower).
These new mods don't have .cfg files to edit to change the ID numbers (I believe this is the standard way of getting new mods to play nice).
If I were to change the servers item IDs would I have to change it on all the clients wanting to connect as well?

Sorry if its a bit of a nooby modding question but I'd rather ask than spend ages changing IDs then have a tonne of work changing all the clients.
