With no conduits, what is everyone using for power transfer?
Ive cobbled together an mfr tree farm, powered by steam dynamos, but had to have one dynamo attached to each mfr machine. So we are talking early game power transfer here please.

Whats the first step up for washing dusts etc. Im still at the cauldron filling stage and its tedious as hell.

Is redstone rare, or am i just being unlucky?
Ive found more diamond ore than redstone.

I appreciate any help gentlesirs and ladies.

Buildcraft kinesis pipes are pretty cheap and do the job for early game quite well. Redstone isn't particularly rare, but like all the Resurrection ores once you find a vein, you have a bunch (and yes, you'll need it all before long). Vertical chunk 2 was the sweet spot for me (Journey Map has vertical chunk listed on the mini map by default).

Washing dust by hand was tedious and lasted too long IMO. I helped myself by making a TE pulverizer as soon as I could (I powered it with a clockwork engine for a while until I had a sustainable power grid). Remember that you can smelt crushed ores (most for 10 nuggets) rather than washing them and then smelting them for an ingot. I found myself over-processing my ores before I had infrastructure to get the byproduct from them, just wasting my time. Work smarter nor harder, and look to see if you really need to hammer the crushed to dust or not.

Good luck.
