Today while playing, I decided to move one of my nether portals down about twenty blocks, give or take, to make it a little more accessible. Now I am getting debilitating lag spikes every 5 to 10 seconds. My world is now basically unplayable. I've tried moving the portal back to the original location it spawned at in the nether, but I'm still getting these crazy lag spikes. I've also tried restarting the client.
Is there some sort of issue with relocating and reconnecting portals in Feed the Beast?
