I wanted to run an MFR tree farm for charcoal, and use up nikolite that i usually have sitting doing nothing, to run the furnaces to make the charcoal. With gregtech, redpower gives early game wind and solar power. Here is my setup to run 5 furnaces non stop.

I stopped the farm for a bit and wanted to just run a blulectric (?) engine and test it out by filling a redstone cell. It runs about 4k-7k volts, which is apparently 4-7 mj/t. Its at the very bottom of the battery/furnace tower, hooked to a redstone energy cell.

the thing is, if i use the voltmeter on the top middle solar cell, the power is over 10k volts, and the engine will not drain the batteries attached to the windmill. The engine should go up to 32 mj... why wouldnt it drain everything in the whole system, and only run at 4-7 mj?

Ive read that redpower electricity works like real electricity which means... too complex for casual playing, IMO. I read about the 10k mv wire, but the wikis arent very imformative and since I have little wire anyway, where would I put it? I only added the wires to the top solar panels because somewhere I read that it was more efficient than just connecting tons of solar panels together.

is there an Idiots Guide to Redpower somewhere that could help me? :) Is there an easy way to make this setup more efficient?

And if all the machines use 'BLUE'tricity, why wasnt the mod called Bluepower? lol
