I recently installed RP, on my MC 1.4.7. I updated the forge, to the most updated one several times, and every time It would fail. Saying that it had some stupid error. Eventually I fixed it by turning on the "autoassign" variable in the RP config.

Now, whenever I go to craft ANYTHING from redpower, I get a seed bag. almost every single item has the same item id of 771.

I dont have the patience to change them each individually, but In time I will have to do this.

I just wanted to know, is there a reason for this? Has another mod conflicted with RP, from my list of 61 mods (Keeping in mind that its only happened since my last 1.4.7 modpack needed updating)? Or have I incorrectly installed either forge or RP?

I installed RP last, so that I could just start using my favourite mods. RP was never one I used much, except for the wires and cables. some of the blocks too.

Any help would be much apreciated.

Try deleting RP2's config file. If you get an id conflict (and ONLY if you get an id conflict, not just any "stupid error") try enabling auto assign again and see what happens. It sounds like something went terribly wrong.

However, if you do delete the config, and especially if you enable auto assign afterwards, you'll definitely have to generate a new world because the ids will probably all be different.

Ive tried deleting the config, Re-labelling the item ID's, setting auto assign to on, and making the config read-only, and ive also tried altering the windows permissions settings for the config file. Regardless, I keep getting this 'stupid error'.

Im belligerent in my efforts, but I do try different things. I never give more than an hour to a computer-based issue.

It would really help if you could tell me exactly what the "stupid error" is. If the game is crashing and displaying a crashlog, post the log so I can help you figure out what's wrong.
