RAM (SOLVED)

i want to add more ram to the launcher i have on this computer 8 gig the max i can go in the launcher is 1 gig but i can't go higher than that.
so please help me

Apparently if you are running 32-bit Java then you are hard-limited to 1GB maximum ram for the launcher, as set by the development team.
