Bug Ram limit bug when launching FTB modpacks

I have my ram set to 9gb on the modpack and I can launch and play normal but if i try to re-launch the modpack after closing or if i restart my pc etc it will say my total is around 455MB and crash. It's been a while since I played but I never used to have this issue. Is there something i'm doing wrong or missing something?

My java is all up to date etc. I'll attach a picture of what my load screen looks like. Hopefully someone can help

weird , you tried put lower than 9gb ? like 4.. or 2 :?
may the system have priority and cause glitch.
(well .. it's guesswork, but I have already seen this glitch in another game, solved by reinstall)

Where did you allocate the ram?

You should allocate it on the FTB app, and not on the vanilla launcher that pops up after you press play.
