RAM for launcher

I dont know if this is a right section to ask my question,but anyways here you go. I gave my launcher 2 gigs of RAM,everything almost works fine,but the twilight forest its very laggy and glitchy for me.I have 8 gigs of ram in total and pretty good pc,so jow much should I give ram for the launchet? i have 8GB aswell, and with this amount of mods, i normally give 3.5 to minecraft. seems to work ok for me.

Well,I looked in options if the mod pack and it seems that 1gb is the maximum amount of memory to be added

That's the highest amout of RAM that your java version allows you to dedicate then.

yeah, 32bit java can only handle 1GB, if you have a 64bit computer, i suggest getting 64bit java.

Got my problem fixed,increased ram usage for 3.5gigs
