..and other resources if you don't feel like caving or mining. Really, nothing complicated, just for those people who didnt know or forgot about this neat EE3 trick
So, get yourself Minium stone, which you craft using 8 minium shards (randomly dropped by hostile mobs) and inert stone (4 iron, 1 gold, 4 smooth stone). Basically, you can transmute items via minium stone to other items in your crafting table or minium stone itself. You can use it 1521 times before it breaks. Recipes:
2 Logs -> 1 obsidian, 4 obsidian -> 1 iron ingot; 8 iron -> 1 gold ingot; 4 gold -> 1 diamond. (256 logs used)
4 clay blocks -> 1 iron ingot; 8 iron -> 1 gold ingot; 4 gold ingot -> 1 diamond. (128 clay blocks used (512 clay balls used))
^ 4 sandstone -> 1 clay ball; 4 flint -> 1 clay ball; 4 dirt ->1 gravel, 4 gravel -> 1 clay ball
Literally diamonds from the surface I apologise if this was already made, didnt notice any. Hope this helped
